Vaasan Ruoppaus Oy works as a marine and inland water construction company manly in Finland and Sweden. Our main line of business concerns offshore dredging, coastal and inland dredging, construction of watercourses, waterways and harbours, and their maintenance. Underwater blasting and chartering water construction machinery for the needs of bridge construction as well as for harbour construction is also within the active job description of our company. Vaasan Ruoppaus Oy has been established in 1985 as an expert in soil construction business. Since 1989 we have offered our expertise and specialisation in the water construction area exclusively.

The staff of Vaasan Ruoppaus Oy consist of experienced professionals in the business. Our machinery and gear represents the state-of-the-art know-how of the field with the essential equipment's and accessories. When dredging we use DGPS satellite co-ordination system to assure the quality, accuracy and effectiveness of our work. The equipment are renewed systematically and maintained constantly.

Our experience from the field concerning demanding water construction works has been utilised in designing and building new equipment's, as for an example, our latest dredger Caesar, build in year 2000. Carefulness and thoroughness are the foundations of the know-how of our company. This quality system has been built to cherish our know-how and serve our customers needs. The quality of our work is the point of honour to our company. We have also taken very special care of the environmental issues in our field of work. We believe that continual development of environmental issues serves us all.

Our quality system follows the demands of ISO EN 9001 and ISO EN 14001 standards. The Construction Quality Association (RALA) in Finland has audited Vaasan Ruoppaus Oy and awarded us with the certificate of competence. The assessment of the quality of our activities is constant and auditioning has been asked from the most important partnerships. In Finland Vaasan Ruoppaus Oy has been excepted as a contractor of Finnish Maritime Administration, for instance.

Our customers and partners come mainly from Finland and Sweden. In the year 2001 we have enlarged our activities also to Russia. Our customers include Finnish Maritime Administration, cities, communities and major building firms in Finland as well as abroad. Long term relations with our customers both in general and private sectors displays much about the quality of our work.

Vaasan Ruoppaus Oy has 10 - 25 employees due to season. Our sales was 2,4 milj euro year 2000.
